Loughor Lifeboat is an Independent Lifeboat one of three within Wales, we are funded by the community by holding flag days and attending local events as well as donations from local groups. We cover from worms head to St Ishmaels right up into Pontarddulais providing a declared service to the Maritime Coastguard Agency 365 days a year 24 hours a day 7 days a week. All our volunteers are totally unpaid and are provided with high quality training through the RYA as well as PPE ( personal protective equipment) to help make the role safe. Each applicant will undertake a 12 month training program and receive full training in First Aid as well as chart reading and much more we ask that you have a full UK driving licence or other mode of transport to enable you to attend training.
